Question by Lovely: What are some good vegetarian foods for diets?
I’m on a diet, trying to eat 1200 calories or less a day as well as working out. I’m a big snacker, though, and I’m a vegetarian who is really picky and doesn’t even like meat in the first place (so nothing that tastes like meat or fish). What are some good snacks and/or meals I could make or buy?

Vegetables and fruit, plain yogurt, whole grains and nuts. NO snacking on sweets. Snack on apples or pears and a handful of nuts.

any Mediterranee recipe you can find would be excellent as a veggie dish. Also veggie burgers are good.

    hello
wow you are a big snacker that sounds sweet
eating snacks is one of my favourites but when it comes to vegan snacks, hmm i kinda found it a hassle
may be you are in the same situation. But there is one sneaky recipe available which at first glance it looks like the foods are not vegan but after clarification. they are easy to cook in as less as 20 minutes
Try the easy recipe and the list of free items as well

For meals, may be the chinese meals might help a bit.Tons of it for you and your friends

Good luck and go go vegetarians

Don’t go below 1200 calories a day. Your body will go into starvation mode and NOTHING will come off. It’s very bad for the body to drop below 1200 cals per day. An incredible cookbook (it’s vegan but you’d never know it) is Appetite for Reduction (I bought it for the author, not the title). All of the meals are quick and easy and good for you. I would cut down on the snacking and eat 5-6 small meals a day. Good snacks to have: fruit smoothies both vegan and vegetarian, nuts, raw veggies with hummus, salad, since your a vegetarian you could have some light cheese, yogurt. Make sure you drink half your body weight in ounces of water. Is there are nutritionist in your area who specializes in vegans/vegetarians? I’m not a doctor so I don’t know if you need to go on a diet but restricting is never a good idea. Exercise is always a good idea.
